Fulham to bring in Cardiff goalkeeper

Fulham will sign Cardiff City goalkeeper Joe Lewis on loan.

The Championship outfit are on the lookout for cover for the injured Marcus Bettinelli after the England Under-21 international suffered knee ligament damage against Hull City on Wednesday night.

Lewis, 27, spent last season on loan at Blackpool, making 36 appearances in all competitions for the Seasiders as they suffered relegation into League One.

Deemed surplus to requirements at the Cardiff City Stadium; Lewis is set to leave the Bluebirds on loan once more after Fulham boss Kit Symons admitted the club were close to signing a replacement shot stopper.
