Liverpool are reportedly poised to launch a final bid of £8m to try and land England youth international defender Ben Chilwell this summer, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who visit Arsenal in their 2016/17 English top-flight opening fixture on August 14, have been linked with luring the Leicester City left-back to Anfield.

The 19-year-old, who has featured twice for England’s Under-21 squad, made three first-team appearances for the title-winning Foxes last season.

Chilwell, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Championship outfit Huddersfield Town last year, is being offered a bumper new five-year deal by Claudio Ranieri’s side in a bid to keep him at the King Power Stadium beyond the current transfer window.

But the report suggests that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is determined to try one last time at convincing the full-back to move to Merseyside, with an £8m offer being lined up for the youngster.
