Liverpool have reportedly re-opened negotiations over a potential summer swoop for Brazil youth international Anderson Talisca, according to Record (via Football FanCast).

The Premier League side, who reached the finals in the Europa League and Capital One Cup last term, have been linked with a move for the highly-rated Benfica attacking midfielder ahead of the upcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 22-year-old, who has featured four times for Brazil’s Under-23 squad, scored an impressive nine goals and provided one assist in 34 appearances in all competitions for the Liga NOS outfit last season.

Talisca, who started his senior career in his homeland with Brazilian outfit Bahia, is understood to have a £37m release clause in his current contract with the Portuguese giants.

The report suggests that Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have re-opened transfer talks to lure the midfielder to Anfield, who have just made their seventh signing of the summer transfer window in Newcastle United’s Georginio Wijnaldum.
