Liverpool have reportedly told Crystal Palace they need to stump up £30m if they want to sign forward Christian Benteke this summer, according to the Telegraph.

The Premier League side, who finished eighth in the English top-flight standings last term and reached the final of the UEFA Europa League, are willing to offload the Belgium international ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 25-year-old, who has 29 international caps and is currently with the Belgian national squad at EURO 2016 in France, scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Reds last season

Benteke, who only arrived at Anfield last July from recently relegated Aston Villa following his £32.5m switch, is wanted by Eagles boss Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park next term.

But despite the Belgian striker failing to impress Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, the club are still determined to recoup most of the transfer fee they splashed out on him last summer.
