Manchester City are reportedly eyeing a move for Germany international Ilkay Gundogan.

The Premier League side, who drew 0-0 with surprise title contenders Leicester City on Tuesday night, are thought to be interested in recruiting the Borussia Dortmund midfielder next summer.

The 25-year-old, who has 16 international caps for the 2014 World Cup winners, has scored twice and assisted five goals in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.

With speculation suggesting Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is set to replace Manuel Pellegrini as City boss at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, it is thought that the Spanish coach has already told the Premier League club’s hierarchy that he wants to make Gundogan one of his first signings at the Etihad Stadium next summer.
