Manchester City are reportedly closing in on the £13.8m capture of Spain international forward Nolito, according to the Telegraph.

The Premier League side, who finished fourth in the English top-flight standings after edging out rivals Manchester United to the final UEFA Champions League spot, have been heavily linked with a summer swoop for the Celta Vigo winger ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 29-year-old, who has 13 international caps for his country and is currently with the Spain national squad in France for EURO 2016, scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit this season.

Nolito, who has also played for FC Barcelona and Benfica, is understood to be flying in for talks with the Citizens today (Wednesday) ahead of his proposed move.

If successful; the Spaniard will become new City manager Pep Guardiola’s second summer addition following the £20m signing of Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.
