Sunderland are reportedly set to launch a move to sign Belgium international forward Adnan Januzaj on loan this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who visit Manchester City on the opening day of the new 2016/17 English top-flight campaign on August 13, have been linked with bringing in the Manchester United winger to the Stadium of Light for the forthcoming term.

The 21-year-old; who has six international caps for his country, but wasn’t included in Belgium’s 23-man squad for EURO 2016 earlier this summer, scored one goal in just seven appearances for the Red Devils last season.

Instead; the forward was loaned to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund, where he failed to score in 12 games in all competitions for the German side last terms.

Januzaj, who is understood to be available for loan from Old Trafford, is wanted by ex-United boss David Moyes after succeeding new England manager Sam Allardyce at Sunderland.

Moyes, 53, handed the Belgian starlet his debut whilst in charge of the Red Devils back in August 2013.
