Name: Jonny Howson
Position: Midfielder
Goal: Stoke vs NORWICH – January 13, 2016

20th September 2015 - Barclays Premier League - Liverpool v Norwich City - Jonathan Howson of Norwich leaps to control the ball on his chest, watched by James Milner of Liverpool - Photo: Simon Stacpoole / Offside.

Howson has scored three goals and provided two assists in 31 league appearances for Norwich this campaign.

Despite this fabulous strike eventually being in vain, Jonny Howson’s exquisite long-range drive against Stoke City earlier this year is one of Norwich City’s finest moments in the Premier League so far this season.

With the Canaries currently just two points above the bottom three with seven matches remaining, although they defeated West Brom 1-0 last weekend, the central midfielder’s wonderful effort at the Britannia Stadium in their eventual 3-1 defeat was a rare sight for manager Alex Neil and the club’s supporters this term.

After substitute Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe chested the ball down on the edge of the 18-yard area from a whipped in delivery from the left flank, Howson took over proceedings and unleashed an unstoppable rising strike into the far top corner that left England and Potters goalkeeper Jack Butland completely helpless.

That was Howson’s third Premier League goal this term, but it was certainly his and Norwich’s best so far!
