Liverpool head into the final game of the Premier League season knowing exactly what they need to do to ensure Champions League football next season, win against Middlesbrough, at home.

Whilst that may sound a formality, with Jurgen Klopp’s side in the top four and Boro already relegated, the Reds have endured a tough time against sides which they really should be beating this season.

Struggles at home against Swansea, Southampton, Plymouth, Wolves and Bournemouth all spring to mind and will give Steve Agnew’s side hope in their top flight swansong.

Without the attacking talent of Sadio Mane once again Klopp may well, as he did at West Ham, turn to out-of-favour Daniel Sturridge for what could be the former Manchester City man’s last game at Anfield in a Liverpool shirt.

In the away dugout, Agnew will be hoping that another former Sky Blue, in striker Alvaro Negredo, can send them out with a bang, but how do the two stack up this season? Take a look…
