Southampton join Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City in the race for Championship starlet

Southampton have reportedly joined the race to sign Championship starlet Ademola Lookman.

The Premier League outfit, who lost 2-0 to Tottenham on Saturday afternoon inside St Mary’s Stadium, are understood to be interested in signing the Charlton Athletic winger during next month’s transfer window.

The 18-year-old, who only joined the Addicks’ youth academy from non-league Waterloo FC last year, has scored three goals in seven Championship appearances so far this season for Charlton.

However Ronald Koeman’s Saints face stiff competition if they are to sign Lookman in the New Year, with top-flight rivals Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City among those also interested in the impressive youngster.
