Deeney winks at TV cameras after Watford’s 3-2 win at Aston Villa.

Watford picked up three points from a possible nine in November, and their hero was probably their captain, Troy Deeney.

After failing to score in his first nine Premier League appearances, the striker now has four in his last five games, including three in the last three.

The 27-year-old started with a goal from the penalty spot in the 2-1 defeat to Leicester, before scoring what had looked to be a late equaliser against Manchester United at Vicarage Road – again from the spot – before he unfortunately put through his own net in another 2-1 loss.

The Birmingham-born attacker redeemed himself in the final match of the month against Aston Villa though, scoring one and assisting another in a 3-2 victory.
