West Brom chase Chipiu

West Brom are set to launch a bid for Alexandru Chipciu.

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail the Anderlecht play-maker has caught the eye of Tony Pulis’ scouting network.

Chipciu is in his first season with Anderlecht but has attracted a lot of attention as he directs their bid for the Belgian title from an attacking midfield role.

Pulis is anxious to bring in new faces with creativity and goals high on his wish list.

After spending five seasons with Steaua Bucharest it seemed that Chipciu had missed out on the chance to play outside of Romania but he has taken his chance with both hands.

The Romanian internationalist didn’t look out of his depth in the Europa League matches against Manchester United.

Although he is under contract until 2020 Anderlecht would struggle to resist an offer in the region of £10m knowing that the alternative is to drastically increase the midfielders current deal.
