West Brom are reportedly lining-up a double raid on Championship stars Charlie Austin and Matt Phillips.

The Premier League outfit, who currently sit 13th in the standings after their opening 12 games, are braced to lose star striker Saido Berahino during the January transfer window, meaning they are exploring the idea of launching bids for the Queens Park Rangers duo in return.

Austin, 26, who was called into the England senior squad back in May, has scored six goals in 12 league appearances for the Championship outfit so far this season.

Meanwhile Phillips, 24, who has two international caps for Scotland, has scored four and assisted two goals in all 16 of QPR’s Championship games this term.

With Baggies forward Berahino drawing interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham ahead of the New Year period, West Brom boss Tony Pulis is doubly determined to replace the 22-year-old’s goalscoring threat with the ex-Premier League duo’s arrivals.
