It is understood that thirteen (13) Premier League clubs are interested in signing Belgium international Laurent Depoitre, according to the Sportwereld – Het Nieuwsblad.

Numerous scouts from England’s top-flight outfits are due to attend the UEFA Champions League last-16 first-leg clash between Gent and Wolfsburg on Wednesday night in order to monitor the hosts’ star striker’s performance.

The report suggests the heavyweight likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are among those potential suitors eyeing up the Gent forward this summer.

The 27-year-old, who made his international debut for his country only back in October 2015, has scored 12 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for the Jupiler Pro League outfit so far this season.

The remaining clubs that will also be watching Depoitre closely are Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Stoke City, Aston Villa, Everton, West Ham United, Southampton, West Brom and Sunderland.

His current deal expires in June 2017, although he is unlikely to put pen to paper on a fresh deal at Gent as he is understood to be keen on testing himself in the Premier League.
