Arsenal fought back from 1-0 down to beat Preston away on Saturday to clinch their place in the FA Cup fourth round.

The Gunners came close to a shock third round exit in the competition, but goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud eliminated their Championship opposition.

It means that Arsene Wenger’s side are now in the hat for Monday night’s fourth round draw.

Arsenal will now to turn their attentions back to the Premier League. They face an away trip to Swansea City on Saturday, looking to return the top four of the league. If they can beat the Swans and other teams’ results favour the Gunners, Arsenal will return to the Champions League places.

They have conceded eight times in their last six league games so some new defensive recruits may be required in January in order to both challenge for the title and Champions League qualification for next season.

Shoot! looks at two defenders Arsenal should sign in this month’s transfer window.
