Reports claim that Donny van de Beek is ready to end what has been a frustrating spell with Manchester United.

The 24-year-0ld arrived in the summer of 2020 from Ajax with a glowing reputation following impressive performances in the Champions League.

However, the Netherlands international has struggled for game time at Old Trafford, playing just 1,597 minutes of football in all competitions since the transfer.

This term, the midfielder has seemed to have fallen even further down Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pecking order having started just two matches – one in the Champions League and other in the EFL Cup.

Now it seems enough is enough for Van de Beek who, according to the Sunday Mirror, is ready to push for a move away from the Red Devils in January.

Van de Beek was a star performer for Ajax.

It’s claimed that the Dutchman has switched agents in order to help secure him a new club where he can aim to rebuild a career which looked so promising just 18 months ago.

With a contract running until 2025, the playmaker’s best option could be to leave the Premier League club on loan, as United will want to give themsleves the best chance possible of recouping a chunk of the £35 million they paid for his services.

If Van de Beek was to perform in a temporary move away that would catch the eye of even more clubs and result in his value rising.

With the Netherlands currently on course to qualify for next year’s World Cup, the midfielder know he needs to secure regular football sooner rather than later to boost his chances of being selected.
