Manchester United bounced back from a 5-0 hammering at home to Liverpool with an emphatic 3-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur.

The result was not only important in ending a winless four-game run in the Premier League, but also in easing the pressure on boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Not only were United slowly falling off the pace of the top-four, but they were conceding goals galore having kept just one clean sheet in their opening nine matches.

Despite adding the experienced Raphael Varane to their squad, it’s reported that the Red Devils now have their eye on another player who could help tighten a leaky backline.

According to Fichajes, United have set their sights on a future swoop for Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu.

Soyuncu has made 97 appearances for Leicester.

The Turkey international has impressed under boss Brendan Rodgers and has been a key part of the club’s success since his move from Freiburg in 2018.

But with the 25-year-old’s contract currently expiring in 2023, the Foxes will be in a vulnerable position come next summer and it’s claimed that’s when the Old Trafford club will look to make their move.

It’s thought that this isn’t the first time United have shown an interest in Soyuncu with the report stating he was a back-up target to Varane in the previous transfer window.

United fans, would you like to see Soyuncu in the famous red shirt?
