Sergio Aguero’s future at Manchester City has been called into question in recent weeks.

The Argentine international was left out of the starting eleven for their Champions League match in Barcelona last week, with Kevin De Bruyne deputising as a ‘false nine’.

Aguero also looked off the pace in the draw with Southampton last weekend, and many have speculated as to whether manager Pep Guardiola has him in his long-term plans.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss has stated that he is in his plans, but the last few weeks certainly puts Aguero’s future into doubt.

As mentioned before regarding Sturridge, Arsenal seem to have lacked that world-class forward in recent years, and there is no doubt that Aguero, widely regarded as the best forward in the league, is one of those.

If Aguero’s first team opportunities become restricted at the Etihad, Wenger should do all he can to bring the City forward to North London.
