3 forwards Chelsea should look to sign in January

There seems to be a lot of uncertainty coming out of Manchester City at the moment, with striker Sergio Aguero perhaps set to leave the club at some stage this season.

The Argentine international, widely regarded as the best striker in the Premier League, was left out of City’s starting line-up against Barcelona last week and, although he was reinstated against Southampton on Sunday, he looked to be lacking that sharpness and dynamism we have long associated with the forward.

There has been talk of tension between Aguero and his manager Pep Guardiola and, although the City boss has played down his decision to drop Aguero, insisting he remains in his plans, the last few weeks has thrown the Argentine’s future at the Etihad into doubt.

It’s unlikely City would look to sell Aguero to anyone in the Premier League, but it might be worth Chelsea asking the question when the window reopens in January.
