A bold choice perhaps, but it doesn’t look like Danny Ings is going to get into the Liverpool team any time soon.

The Reds are looking brilliant going forward, with the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Philippe Coutinho in particularly good form. Add to that the goals from Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana, and Jurgen Klopp has got a number of attacking options available to him.

Unfortunately for Ings, injury somewhat ruined his chances of staking a claim for a first team spot.

A ligament injury ruled him out for the majority of last season, and now it looks like a move away from Anfield, be it on loan or permanently, looks his best bet to resurrect his career.

Although Newcastle would be a drop down, he would be playing in a team creating loads of chances, scoring a lot of goals, and likely to be in the top-flight next season.

It could be worth a drop down for six months if it means that he’s playing regularly and scoring goals for the Magpies.
