A resurgent Norwich City entertain Championship leaders Newcastle at Carrow Road tomorrow night very much in the hunt for a play-off place come May.

Alex Neil’s men were on a horrendous run of form earlier in the campaign, losing nine of their 13 league games from November to January, although four wins in five since their last defeat has reignited their play-off chances.

The Canaries are seventh and have won six of their last seven league games at home, but face the toughest test in the division when Rafa Benitez’s Magpies visit Norfolk.

Newcastle edged past Wolves 1-0 on Saturday to remain top of the division and, having won four of their last five league games, they’ll be confident of recording a 22nd league victory of the campaign tomorrow evening.

Benitez’s men have taken 34 points on their travels this term, eight more than the next best side Brighton, yet Norwich have the third-best home record in the Championship this season, winning 11 of their 15 games at Carrow Road.

Something will surely have to give tomorrow night.
