The Real Madrid man is being eyed up as a potential long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney and, if he goes on to have a similar career at Old Trafford to the England captain, then United fans will want this deal done as soon as possible.

He was outstanding for Malaga in the number 10 role, and that’s what earned him a move to Madrid back in 2013.

His creativity and agility in that role set up numerous opportunities and, with someone like Zlatan Ibrahimovic in front of him, if he did the same again at United then there would certainly be someone to score them.

United have missed that spark at times this season – Isco would certainly provide that.
