Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino could reportedly be targeting a stunning January move for Spanish playmaker Isco.

The North London side have struggled to find the net in recent weeks and the creativity of the mercurial Spaniard could reap serious rewards for Spurs, who currently have the meanest defence in England having conceded a measly 8 Premier League goals so far this season.

Isco has 18 months remaining on his current deal with Madrid and recent reports suggest that the 24-year-old may be looking for a way out this January.

The Spain international has supposedly grown frustrated over limited minutes at the Bernabeu, both this season and in the previous campaign, having only started eight of a possible 17 games this term.

Isco’s goal for his country in last week’s 2-2 draw at Wembley shows the quality he can bring to a team. This was a timely reminder to interested English clubs of what he can do as the January transfer window looms large.

However, Isco’s situation has also attracted interest from a host of other clubs. Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are believed to have a strong interest, a consequence of the poor form of Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney this season.
