3 reasons why Brighton will beat Newcastle in the Championship this evening

Lost just twice since September

Following their 2-0 defeat to Brentford on September 10, Brighton had picked up eight points from their first six games, and sat 13th in the table.

Fast forward five-and-a-half months, and the Seagulls are soaring at the summit of the division, losing just two of their last 27 Championship matches.

They have won 19 of those and drawn six others and, when you factor in that they have beaten all of the current top eight at home this term, netting 15 goals and conceding just twice in the process, they clearly relish playing the better sides at the AMEX Stadium.

Hughton’s men are unbeaten in five and have won seven of their last eight home matches, so they’ll be full of confidence ahead of this evening’s clash.
