Chelsea go to Tottenham this evening (8pm kick-off) looking to become the first side in Premier League history to win 14 successive matches in a single season.

Antonio Conte’s side equalled Arsenal’s record of 13 victories by beating Stoke 4-2 at Stamford Bridge on New Year’s Eve, and they’ll hope to start 2017 with a record-breaking win at White Hart Lane tonight.

There is extra incentive for the Blues as well given Liverpool’s 2-2 draw away at Sunderland on Monday, as Conte’s men can go eight points clear at the top of the division should they win in North London.

However, they’ll have to do what no side has done since May last year to open up an eight-point lead and indeed break the record, which is beat Tottenham at home in the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won seven and drawn two of their nine league games this term, and go into this one having won their last four league matches, and indeed their last four at White Hart Lane.

In what is likely to be an interesting clash at White Hart Lane, here are THREE reasons why Chelsea will secure a record-breaking 14th successive Premier League win this evening…
