There have been murmurings in recent times that Southampton full-back Ryan Bertrand isn’t entirely satisfied at St Mary’s, and thus a move away this summer could become a reality.

And with Spurs without their number one choice left-back for a sustained period of time, they may well move for the England star.

Bertrand has been brilliant for the Saints since moving there back in 2014, first on loan and then permanently, from Premier League champions Chelsea, and in that time he has become a regular feature in the England squad, and has been battling with Rose for the left-back spot.

The Southampton man is clearly capable of playing at a high level, and with Rose on the sidelines for a while, Spurs may well look at the 27-year-old this summer.
