The former Burnley and QPR striker has scored goals at every level he has played at, and the Saints are beginning to see the Austin they thought they signed in January having scored seven goals in his last six matches.

He has constantly had to overcome injury issues but, when he’s fit, he is as deadly in front of goal as any forward in the division.

The 27-year-old would certainly strengthen Pochettino’s offensive options at White Hart Lane.
