A number of Arsenal’s issues in recent seasons has been to do with their defence, and the lack of leaders and out-and-out defenders at the club.

Spurs’ Toby Alderweireld is an example of the sort of defender Arsenal need.

He epitomises what defending is all about. He’s strong and always getting his head to things, but he’s also authoritative and, alongside Jan Vertonghen, they bring a calmness to the Spurs backline. The two have created arguably the best centre-half pairing in the league.

Not only that, but Alderweireld is excellent with the ball at his feet, and is able to set up attacks from the back such is his brilliant awareness and vision.

He’s the complete defender, and one that would hugely benefit Wenger’s side.

Lloris, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose Dembele, Dier (or Wanyama), Dembele (or Alli) and Kane would all walk into the Arsenal team as are a country mile better than their counterparts. Son would walk in too and probably Wimmer.

Only Kane might get in , but Alexis is playing very good now so, no. No one will get in!!!!!

I would have thought 8 or 9 would walk in, not just 3.

I’d take Dele Alli over Jack or Ramsey too.
