Joe Root

In the cricketing world, Yorkshire batsman Joe Root has gone from strength to strength.

From being dropped for England’s fifth and final Test against Australia in Sydney back in January 2014, the 25-year-old has scored 2,273 runs in 24 test matches, which is an average of 57.9.

With five centuries, 15 half-centuries, and a highest score of 254, Root is now regarded as one of the best batsmen in world cricket, and it’s all happened in the last two years.
