Misfiring Martin

On loan Fulham striker Chris Martin was unable to add to his international goalscoring form of midweek, after netting for his native Scotland in their 1-0 victory over Slovenia last Wednesday.

Martin had a number of chances that he could’ve scored during the match, including a glaring one-on-one opportunity midway through the second-half.

He was recalled to the starting line-up for The Cottagers, having not started in their 3-1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

His missed chances did not prove to cost his side in the end, with fellow team-mate Aluko getting the only goal of the match.
