Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca will hope to record his first Premier League win when his side face Wolves on Sunday.

The Blues will travel to Molineux just days after beating Swiss side Servette in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League play-off tie.

Chelsea were beaten 2-0 by champions Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season, and the Italian will be desperate to get their season up and running on Sunday.

In the meantime, it appears that one of the club’s most expensive ever signings is edging closer to a move away from Stamford Bridge.

As per Fabrizio Romano, striker Romelu Lukaku is set to sign a three-year deal and join Italian side Napoli.

The Belgian returned to Chelsea in 2021, seven years after leaving the West London club to join Premier League rivals Everton.

Chelsea re-signed the striker after he helped Inter Milan to the Serie A title in 2021, but his return didn’t go to plan and he found himself out of favour at Stamford Bridge after criticising then-managed Thomas Tuchel.

Lukaku is set for another spell in Italy, this time with Napoli

Lukaku, 31, scored 15 times for the Blues during the 2021/22 campaign, before being loaned back to Inter Milan.

He then spent last term on loan at Roma, but once again found himself facing an uncertain future after he returned to London at the end of last season.

Now, though, the Belgium international is set for another spell in Italy with a verbal agreement having already been reached between Chelsea and Napoli.

Romano claims that the player’s representatives, along with both clubs, are now proceeding to finalise the move with the relevant documentation.

Chelsea, though, are set to make a significant loss on the staggering £97.5 million that they spent to sign Lukaku three years ago.
