AFC Bournemouth have confirmed via their Twitter page that winger Junior Stanislas has signed a new three-year-deal with the South Coast club to take his contract through to 2019.

The former West Ham man joined the Cherries in June 2014, helping them to promotion from the Championship in his first season.

The winger netted three crucial goals in the club’s maiden season in the top flight of English football, bagging two in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Everton and a bizarre goal directly from a corner in their 2-1 over Man United.

The 26-year-old is currently out of contention through a groin injury but should be available for selection by Eddie Howe within two weeks.

The London born forward has a big season ahead of him. Following the departure of Matt Ritchie to Newcastle, there are big boots to fill on the South Coast and the winger will be keen to show what he has to offer.
