It was an outstanding first-ever season in the Premier League for the Cherries as they ensured another year in the English top-flight beyond this summer; with the energetic Scotland international claiming Shoot’s award for May.

AFC Bournemouth entered the final month of the season with the precious 40 points already on the board, as they started to prepare for another season in the top division.

Ritchie got the equalising goal as the South Coast side came back to secure a 1-1 draw at home to West Brom.

Though, the Cherries fell to a 3-1 defeat away at Manchester United on their final game of the season – as they end the campaign with 42 points.

The former Portsmouth and Swindon Town forward ended the 2015/16 term as Eddie Howe’s side’s joint fourth highest goalscorer in the Premier League, matching striker Benik Afobe and centre-half Steve Cook’s tally of four for the season.
