The agent of Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has spoken out amid ongoing speculation linking the player with a move to Arsenal.

The Argentine reportedly has no intention of leaving the Italian side at present, according to Alejandro Camano.

As per Metro, the player’s agent has insisted that Martinez has no interest in leaving Serie A, news that will disappoint fans of both Arsenal and Tottenham.

The two London sides have both been heavily linked with the player in recent months, but it appears he will be going nowhere.

“Sometimes the press talks about his possible transfer, but he only thinks of Inter,” he told Radio Cologne.

“Lautaro is growing as a footballer. Let’s not forget that he is still 24-years-old. He is already establishing himself as one of the best strikers on the international scene.

“A new generation of forwards is appearing, of which Lautaro is a part.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen on signing the Argentine, but his agent insists a move to England is not on the cards.

“We’re not looking for a negotiation to take him elsewhere. He’s happy at Inter, the city is wonderful. He’s only focusing on Inter.”

Martinez is fully focussed on Inter Milan, according to his agent

The 24-year-old has scored 70 goals for his club since 2018, and enjoyed a remarkable 2021 as he won the Serie A title and Copa America with Inter and Argentina respectively.

The striker looked set to depart the Italian capital last summer as Inter looked to balance their books after the pandemic, but his strike partner Romelu Lukaku instead departed, joining Chelsea in a deal worth around £100 million.

It is also claimed that the Gunners have other targets in mind in their pursuit of a striker, but Martinez is perceived by Arteta and co. as a more affordable option than the likes of Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak.

Spurs, meanwhile, are reportedly looking for a striker to partner Harry Kane, rather than replace him.

The England captain was close to joining Manchester City last summer, but now looks set to remain in the capital.

Martinez has scored 17 goals in 32 league games this season but Inter may fall short of defending their title, as they currently sit two points behind rivals AC with three games remaining.
