Manchester United’s Anthony Martial is ready to commit his long-term future to the club, according to RMC Sport.

The 22-year-old has had his ups and downs since switching to Old Trafford from AS Monaco for £36million in September 2015.

Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, the Frenchman has struggled to nail down a regular starting place which has sparked rumours that he could be set for a move away.

However, after a pre-season in which the Portuguese boss fined the striker for going AWOL after the birth of his son, it’s reported that the relationship between the two has improved.

It’s reported that Martial and Mourinho haven’t always seen eye to eye.

Mourinho has shown more faith in the frontman of late and he has paid back his manager with a goal in the 3-2 comeback win against Newcastle and a brace in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

With the forward’s current deal ending next summer, the Red Devils hierarchy are keen to get their number 11 tied down.

And the Les Bleus attacker is happy to discuss a new contract, which could be worth up to £175,000-a-week, with club officials.

Overall, Martial, who missed out on a place in his country’s World Cup winning squad, has netted 40 goals in 145 matches for United.
