Arsenal will be looking to continue their title hunt with a win against fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Gunners will face the Lilywhites at the Emirates in what is anticipated to be a close affair.

Both sides have made a strong start to the season, each earning 13 points from five Premier League games so far.

Mikel Arteta’s side will have history on their side at the weekend in the North London derby, as Arsenal have not lost a home game against Spurs in the league since 2010.

The Gunners will have plenty of momentum going into the fixture after thrashing PSV Eindhoven 4-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday.

However, Spurs have put in some exciting performances under Ange Postecoglou, including the latest-ever winning comeback in the Premier League when they beat Sheffield United 2-1 last weekend.

Despite the Lilywhites being in good form ahead of the weekend, the Gunners have received another boost after agreeing to extend the contract of a crucial player.

Arsenal Football Club have officially announced that Martin Odegaard has signed a new contract with the club.

The club has confirmed that the creative midfielder has signed a new long-term deal that will keep him in North London until 2028.

Odegaard has extended his stay in North London until 2028.

Odegaard, 24, joined the North London outfit from Real Madrid in 2021 following a brief loan spell.

The Norwegian made 11 senior appearances for the Spanish giants, although he was sent out on a few loan spells during his time with Los Blancos.

However, since making the switch to The Emirates, the Norwegian has featured in 112 games for the Gunners in all competitions.

Odegaard has been in sublime form since joining Arsenal and was even named as their player of the season last term.

In the last Premier League campaign, the midfielder bagged 15 goals and notched up eight assists, which helped Arsenal finish second.
