Title chasers Arsenal welcome current Premier League leaders Liverpool to the Emirates on Sunday in what promises to be a thrilling game.

Arne Slot’s side currently sit four points clear of the third-placed Gunners, who suffered a shock 2-0 defeat against Bournemouth on the south coast on Saturday.

The North London side have finished second in each of the past two league seasons and now haven’t won the top flight title in more than two decades, and Arteta will be desperate to end that run in May.

In the meantime, Arsenal appear to be one of a number of Premier League sides eyeing a move for a highly-rated Portuguese youngster.

As per CaughtOffside, Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs that have scouted Sporting CP teenager Geovany Quenda in recent months.

Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Sporting youngster Quenda

Manchester City and Manchester United are also said to have sent scouts to watch the 17-year-old, who has made 13 appearances for the Portuguese side at senior level, scoring once and providing one assist.

European giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also said to be monitoring the youngster’s situation.

The winger, who primarily plays on the right, is regarded as one of the best young talents in Portugal and has already represented his country at Under-21 level.

Despite significant interest from top clubs around Europe, Sporting are set to demand that Quenda’s release clause – set at around £83 million – is met and that is therefore likely to deter potential interest in the winger.

His current contract with Sporting is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but his current side could look to either tie him down to a longer-term deal or cash in on him next summer.
