Arsenal and Chelsea have started talks with Barcelona over the potential transfer of Denis Suarez, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The 24-year-old has struggled for game time at the Camp Nou this term, making just five appearances in all competitions.

Just one of those five has come in La Liga and, after much speculation, the Catalan club are now reportedly willing to let the Spaniard move on.

The two clubs thought to be in the driving seat to sign the ex-Manchester City youngster are Arsenal and Chelsea.

Suarez made two first-team appearances for Man City between 2011-13.

It is reported that the London duo have been in discussions with the Catalan giants and that the player is keen on a move back to England.

Barcelona would look for a fee in the region of £9million – £13.4million for the one-time senior Spain international.

However, no offer has yet been made, plus Valencia and AC Milan have also been linked with making a potential swoop.
