Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly joined the chase to sign Belgium international forward Yannick Carrasco, according to The Sun.

The Premier League rivals, who currently sit fourth and first in the English top-flight standings respectively, have been linked with luring the Atletico Madrid winger to the ‘Promised Land’ this summer.

The 23-year-old, who has 15 international caps for his country, has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit so far this season.

Carrasco, who joined Atletico from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco back in July 2015, has netted 15 times in 75 games overall for Diego Simeone’s side.

However, the report suggests The Gunners and The Blues face stiff competition from the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain for the Belgian’s signature, who was sent off against FC Barcelona in Tuesday night’s Copa del Rey clash.

An offer of around £40m is thought to be enough to tempt Atletico into parting ways with the left winger this summer.
