After being restored to the England side last week, Walcott continued his comeback to form with a brace in Arsenal’s 3-2 home win against Swansea City.

Coming in from the right wing, the 27-year-old put the Gunners ahead when he bundled the ball over the line after Hector Bellerin had found him with a header from the right side.

His second came seven minutes later as he showed a poacher’s instinct to fire home from close range after the ball had bounced off Gylfi Sigurdsson from a corner.

He had a chance to clinch a hat-trick but struck the bar when it would have been easier to score when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had found him, but the forward who joined from Southampton over ten years ago has now scored five goals in eight games this season.
