Premier League leaders Arsenal will be hoping to end a run of three games without victory when they face reigning champions Manchester City on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s side remain top of the table at present, but have seen their advantage cut following a run of three consecutive draws, with the latest being against struggling Southampton on Friday evening.

Regardless of whether or not The Gunners do lift the league title this season, they have undoubtedly enjoyed a remarkable season and have far exceeded most peoples’ expectations.

This summer, though, the club look set to bolster their squad and they have identified a number of targets to help do so.

Now, though, one of the players that they were considering a move for has been offered a new deal by his current side.

As per The Guardian, Crystal Palace have offered forward Wilfried Zaha a record new contract in the hope of persuading the player to stay put at Selhurst Park.

Zaha’s future remains uncertain with just weeks remaining on his current Palace contract

It is claimed that The Eagles have offered Zaha a new four-year deal worth around £200,000-per-week, although the player is waiting for assurances over the club’s aims to qualify for Europe before committing his future to Palace.

Zaha’s current deal, signed five years ago, currently earns him around £130,000-per-week but is set to expire at the end of the current season.

The report claims that he has attracted interest from clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

Zaha, 30, is a product of the Palace academy and has spent the entirety of his career with the club, with the exception of brief spells with Cardiff City and Manchester United.

The Ivorian has made 455 appearances for the club in total, scoring 89 goals and providing 76 assists across all competitions.
