Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has put pen to paper on a new deal with the Italian giants, which includes a £42.5m release clause, according to reports from Di Marzio.

The Croatian has extended his stay at the San Siro to 2021, however the deal could just be a ploy to up his price as Premier League sides circle.

The 24-year-old, who has faced Premier League opposition in Southampton this season during a 1-0 Europa League win in Italy, has been linked with a move to London with both Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly interested.

The former Dinamo Zagreb man joined Inter on a permanent basis over the summer, having spent the second half of last season on loan with the Serie A side.

However, the midfielder was not well utilised under short-lived manager Frank De Boer but has come back into the side since the former Ajax man was shown the door, having started the last seven league games on the bounce.
