Arsenal and Everton target Julian Draxler has reportedly been fined £85,000 by Wolfsburg after announcing his intention to leave the club this summer, according to Bild via the Metro.

The Germany international produced an outburst in the German publication during the week about his desire to leave the Bundesliga outfit following his return from the 2016 European Championship finals earlier this summer, where his nation were knocked out by hosts France at the semi-final stage.

The 22-year-old told Bild on Wednesday: “I have expressed myself clearly to [coach] Dieter Hecking that after the Euros I want to leave [the club].”

However, Wolfsburg have now fined the winger €100,000 (£85,000), but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, and Toffees manager Ronald Koeman, who are both admirers of the forward, will hope that the further break down in relationship between player and club means a potential move could be pushed through before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
