Liverpool can win the Premier League title with victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Arne Slot’s side have been in sensational form this season and have amassed a 13-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the table, with just five matches remaining.

That means the Reds needs just one more victory to secure the Premier League title for just the second time in the club’s history, which would make Slot’s debut season in England a remarkable one.

In the meantime, it has emerged that the Premier League’s top two are both interested in an impressive defender.

As per CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in Nottingham Forest centre-back Murillo, 22.

The Brazilian joined Forest from Corinthians in 2023 and has since established himself as one of the best young defenders in the division.

Murillo has been in fine form for Forest this season

In total he has played 70 times for Forest, but he has been in particularly impressive form this season.

Murillo has featured in 32 of Forest’s 33 Premier League games this term, helping Nuno Esperito Santo’s side to position themselves in contention to qualify for next term’s Champions League.

It is claimed that both Liverpool and Arsenal held conversations about a potential move for the central defender in January, but a deal never materialised.

Both Chelsea and Real Madrid are also said to be keeping tabs on the Brazilian, who made his senior international debut in March.

Murillo is under contract with Forest until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, and the report suggests that he is valued by his current club at around £68 million.

Forest are determined to keep hold of the defender beyond this summer, though, and are set to hold talks about a potential new deal in the near future.
