Manchester City have reportedly joined Arsenal in the hunt to sign Poland star Grzegorz Krychowiak.

The Premier League rivals, who sit first and second in the league standings respectively, have been linked with moves for Sevilla’s defensive midfielder ahead of the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old, who has 30 international caps to his name, has made 11 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit so far this season.

The Gunners were thought to be close to meeting Krychowiak’s £22m buy-out clause during the summer, but manager Arsene Wenger decided to stick with his current crop of players ahead of the Premier League campaign.
