Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to continue their impressive start to the new season when they face London rivals Fulham on Monday evening.

Ange Postecoglou has made an instant impact in North London, guiding his side to six wins in their first eight Premier League games, including victories over Manchester United and Liverpool.

Despite starting the season well, it appears that Spurs have been looking for potential transfer targets with a view to bolstering Postecoglou’s squad.

As per 90min, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs to have scouted Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra.

The report claims that Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal have also watched the player in action, as well as West Ham United and Newcastle United.

All four clubs reportedly watched the midfielder play 45 minutes as Spain Under-21s beat Scotland Under-21s last month.

Both Manchester United and Barcelona are also said to have scouted the player at other games in recent months.

Guerra has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs

Guerra, 20, is a product of Valencia’s youth academy and has established himself in the first team over the past few months.

In total he has made 26 appearances for the Spanish side across all competitions, but his impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed and it appears that several clubs could be interested in him.

So far this season Guerra has made nine appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

Having helped Valencia to avoid relegation last term, Guerra has since been heavily linked with a move away from the Mestella.

He is currently contracted to his boyhood club until the summer of 2027, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will stay put until then.
