North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are both weighing up a move for Hoffenheim’s Florian Grillitsch, according to German media outlet Bild.

Both clubs are said to be monitoring Grillitsch following his impressive performances in midfield for the Bundesliga club this season.

The Austrian continued his good form, when he shined in Hoffenheim’s display against Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday.

It’s reported that Mauricio Pochettino will have to battle Unai Emery to sign Grillitsch.

Grillitsch joined Die Kraichgauer in 2017 from Werder Bremen and has grown in stature since the arrival of manager Julian Nagelsmann.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to recruit players in January, following a summer where Spurs didn’t sign a single player.

Also in North London, Arsenal boss Unai Emery will be desperate for the Gunners to maintain their solid start to the Premier League campaign.

And capturing a player of Grillitsch’s quality will be a big boost for their pledge for Champions League football next season.
