Arsenal and Tottenham go head-to-head as Schick talks begin

Arsenal and Tottenham are set to face off in a summer battle for Czech striker Patrik Schick, with talks getting underway this week.

According to reports from Mail Online, the fierce north London rivals, who are set to face off for the last time at White Hart Lane – in it’s current form – at the end of April, both held talks with the forward’s agent in London on Wednesday as they look to engineer a deal ahead of the summer.

The Czech Republic international, who currently turns out for Serie A side Sampdoria, has emerged as a real talent this season, having moved from an irregular substitute to a mainstay for the Italian outfit.

The 21-year-old’s displays in Italy have not gone unnoticed across Europe, with Premier League scouts taking a keen interest in his showings.

As well as the north London duo it is believed Premier League rivals Everton and Crystal Palace are interested, as well as fallen Italian giants Inter Milan.
