Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Spain Under-21 international star Dani Ceballos, according to Calciomercato.

The Premier League rivals, who currently sit fifth and sixth in the English top-flight standings respectively, have been linked with the out of favour Real Madrid midfielder ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 21-year-old, who has featured 22 times for Spain’s Under-21 side, has scored two goals in 11 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants so far this season.

Ceballos, who began his youth career at Spanish rivals Sevilla when he was just eight-years-old, only arrived at the Bernabeu back in July following his €18m move from Real Betis, putting pen to paper on a six-year contract.

But the report suggests the attacking central midfielder has already grown frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities under manager Zinedine Zidane this campaign, and could look for a way out of Madrid in the New Year market.

Serie A outfit AC Milan have been linked with Ceballos’ signature, as well as Premier League sides Arsenal and Spurs, who are understood to have begun talks over a potential deal, whilst a return to former club Betis is also a possibility.
