Arsenal and Tottenham are both monitoring the situation concerning Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien, with the likes of Everton, Southampton and Newcastle all in the hunt, according to reports from The Express.

The versatile midfielder has been a mainstay for the Ligue 1 surprise packed this season, however, has just been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Playing mainly as centre midfielder or defensive midfielder, but also capable of being deployed on the right, the 22-year-old has bagged nine goals and three assists in all competitions this season, stats which could well see him on his way to the Premier League next season.

According to the report, Rafa Benitez’s side are leading the way to land a deal, however, with the lure of sides such as Spurs and the Gunners, as well as top half offers from Saints and the Toffees, regardless of whether or not the Magpies are back in the top flight next term, Wenger and his peers will fancy their chances.
